Job summary

Surlean Foods is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to ensure safety and quality across all incoming materials and finished products in the plant. The role reports to the QA Supervisor and adheres to company SOPs and customer specifications.

The technician will enforce GMP, conduct pre-operational inspections, perform swabbing, monitor SSOPs, and maintain QA records. Collaboration with USDA and production staff is essential to maintain food safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic computer skills with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
• Team player able to work cross-functionally and unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices policy.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections of equipment and facilities.
• Perform ATP and environmental swabbing as needed.
• Monitor SSOPs and document according to the program.
• Monitor quality of packaging, raw materials and finished products.
• Record weights and temperatures of products.
• Generate daily records for each product line per customer specs.
• Perform HACCP monitoring and verification for CCPs.
