Job summary

NSK is seeking a Shift Supervisor / Production Team Lead for the 2nd Shift at the Franklin, IN facility. The role coordinates team efforts to meet safety, quality, production, and cost goals, and serves as the primary liaison for line activity across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4–6 years of position-related experience.
• Preferred: Technical Diploma or associate degree and 6–8 years of experience.
• Experience with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the activities of team members on the production line.
• Enforce safety and quality standards.
• Communicate updates on safety, quality, production, manning and line conditions to team members.
• Coordinate with other supervisors on operations between departments.
• Discuss quality concerns, production status, equipment issues, and team member concerns with management.
• Plan work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet goals.
• Observe work and ensure adherence to plant standards.
• Read production records to determine requirements and evaluate outputs.
• Use 5S and Lean principles to improve SOPs.
