Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) in Sturbridge, MA to lead a 25+ person production department and partner with engineering, quality, and other teams to meet daily goals. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will mentor team leads, drive continuous improvement with Lean and Six Sigma methods, and ensure compliant GMP/documentation practices while maintaining efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and team-building skills.
• Experience analyzing production data and implementing process improvements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Ability to lead multiple priorities in a fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a production department with 25+ employees, ensuring daily staffing aligns with production goals.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team leads and operators while fostering accountability and engagement.
• Monitor key performance metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Finance to resolve operational issues and improve performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Oversee employee training programs, skill matrices, and onboarding activities.
• Manage labor utilization, attendance, scheduling, PTO requests, and payroll/timekeeping accuracy.
• Support GMP and documentation compliance while maintaining efficient manufacturing operations.
