Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for a 2nd shift (6pm-2:30am, Mon-Fri) at one of our legacy metal solutions sites. The role coaches, resolves issues, and links frontline staff with upper management while driving safety, quality, and productivity improvements.

You will hire and develop staff, oversee shift changes, and ensure production documents and logs are completed accurately. OT may be required; strong leadership and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• 2-year associate degree or a bachelor's degree in related field preferred but not required.
• Welding experience.
• Minimum of two years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, required.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, motivate, mentor and train employees on a regular basis.
• Must have basic Microsoft knowledge.
• Experience with side forklift, bander, nail gun, overhead crane, saws, stretch wrap machine, and various pneumatic equipment preferred, not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Mobility – prolonged periods of time on feet, standing, bending, etc.
• Exposure – Moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of a manufacturing team, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to optimize staffing and control costs.
• Hire, supervise, evaluate, and replace staff to meet performance goals.
• Train employees and conduct regular evaluations; lead safety and production meetings.
• Coordinate shift changes and communications during troubleshooting.
• Ensure accurate paperwork related to line operation, logs, audits, and corrective actions.
• Drive 5S, cost reduction, and quality improvements.
