Job summary

Acloché LLC in Lacon, IL is seeking a hands-on 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead a small manufacturing team of 3–6 operators and technicians. You will emphasize safety, quality, and hitting daily production targets.

This role oversees extrusion line setups, operations, and teardown, enforces OSHA rules, and drives continuous improvement with lean practices. Training during ramp-up is expected as part of starting on the 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical or post-secondary degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Background in plastics manufacturing or similar industries (metal, lumber, automotive, or aerospace).
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Clear verbal and written communication for cross-shift handoffs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 3–6 operators and technicians.
• Oversee extrusion line setups, operations, and teardowns.
• Enforce OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
• Monitor product dimensions and visuals to minimize scrap.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues on extrusion equipment.
• Complete shift logs, production reports, and attendance tracking.
• Implement lean manufacturing practices to optimize workflow efficiency.
