Job summary

Venteon is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the 2nd shift in a Metro Detroit automotive machining environment. You will drive production goals, coach staff, and enforce safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, monitoring results, and collaborating with HR to train associates. The role requires strong leadership, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to optimize processes across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a production setting.
• Experience supervising automotive production, ideally in a machining environment.
• Ability to lead a diverse workforce.
• Understanding of plant safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Accomplishing production goals by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on equipment, resources, and PPE; managing safety and production training for all associates.
• Continuously monitoring safety issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Collaborating with Human Resources to interview, orient, and train employees; developing personal growth opportunities for new team members.
• Monitoring personnel and resources to maintain production, implementing cost reductions, and correcting process breakdowns.
• Fostering cooperation between shifts and departments.
• Meeting production needs by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results in end-of-shift reports.
• Maintaining quality by establishing and enforcing standards.
