Job summary

Venteon is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician for a Tier 1 manufacturing company in the Metro Detroit area. The role requires 2–4 years of manufacturing and maintenance experience, with hands-on work on mills, lathes, and related equipment.

You will perform diversified mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repairs. The position is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity on 2nd shift, with competitive benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of Manufacturing experience.
• 2-4 years of Maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment.
• Experience with machines such as mills, lathes.
• Maintenance across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and plant facilities.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and scheduled maintenance.
• Perform machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems; troubleshoot and repair.
• Read equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance.
• Diagnose problems, replace/repair parts, test and adjust.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance and related carpentry/plumbing tasks.

Responsibilities of the 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
• Perform machinist duties and responsibilities
• Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
