Job summary

CTDI is seeking a Production Supervisor for 2nd shift (11:00 AM – 9:30 PM, Sunday to Wednesday) to coordinate production workers, meet targets, and drive quality and P&L results. You will schedule tasks, troubleshoot issues, monitor KPIs, report performance, and ensure safety and compliance while maintaining strong customer SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Supervises workers operating production machinery and quality control.
• Schedule and assign tasks, troubleshoot issues, improve efficiency.

• Deliver clear shift transition information for the next shift.
• Provide first-level support for escalated issues during shift.
• Maintain production quality by monitoring metrics.

• Engage in employee relations; address concerns and maintain a positive workplace.
• Assist in P&L forecasting and labor planning.
• Prepare daily performance feedback and reporting as required.
• Coordinate workflow; ensure inventory and staffing levels meet demand.

Job description

The production supervisor position is responsible for coordinating and assigning the activities of production workers, ensuring that production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and driving P&L results. This position supervises production operations within an assigned areas or during assigned shifts.

2nd Shift: 11:00AM - 9:30PM, Sunday - Wednesday

Pay

$21.97 per hour + 20% shift differential

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervises workers that operate production machinery, assemble items, perform quality control, or package goods for shipment.
• Schedule and assign tasks to workers, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Responsible for meeting or surpassing daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with accurate reporting that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
• Deliver clear and concise information during shift transition meetings, ensuring the next shift is prepared for success.
• Provide first level of support for any escalated issue during work shift.
• Maintain consistent production quality by monitoring departmental performance metrics.
• Communicate effectively with management and customers to ensure SLAs are met and issues are promptly resolved.
• Engages in employee relations initiatives, promptly addressing and resolving employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment.
• Assists in P&L forecasting and analysis, alongside labor planning and scheduling.
• Prepare and administer daily performance feedback and reporting as required.
• Coordinates the flow of work through the department and ensures that department has sufficient levels of inventory to meet demand and is staffed appropriately.
• Provide training, motivation, and support to employees regarding company and departmental procedures, development opportunities, and departmental processes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
• All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports

Required Skills and Experience

• 1+ years of leadership experience, materials/distribution environment is preferred.
• Capable problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities, demonstrating a strategic approach with a focus on achieving results and fostering continuous improvement.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities, demonstrating effective verbal and written communication.
• Capacity to engage with customers in a professional manner.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
• Supervising temporary staff.
• Experience working with UKG and Kronos.
• General knowledge of OSHA Standards.

Educational Requirements

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
