Job summary

Celestica Inc. in Richardson, TX, is seeking a Production Packout Cell Leader 4 for the 2nd shift to lead and optimize cell performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will monitor team performance, coordinate assembly operations, and ensure quality and timely production, while applying soldering and testing equipment expertise. This role emphasizes leadership and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Four to five years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma plus additional courses after high school or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Acts as lead and problem solver, balances personnel and facilitates the movement of products through designated area of responsibility.
• Monitors the conduct, performance and contribution of cell members.
• Performs manual assembly, operation of automated assembly equipment, hand soldering, operation of automated test equipment, and inspection and repair of products.
• Monitors quantity and quality output and leads production or prototype team to meet group goals.
• Compiles data and generates reports on cell performance.
• Possesses foundation skills and appropriate technical / leadership skills.
• Must possess specific certifications as defined by site operations.
• Knowledge and understanding of board assembly process and product process flow.
• Knowledge of product quality, soldering specifications and SMT processing systems.
• Ability to set up, operate, and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment and tools.
• Ability to recognize problems in the assembly process or with assembly components and to address those problems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
• Ability to work effectively with team members and lead the team to high quality production within tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in the applications appropriate to the area e.g. : Word, Lotus Notes, Excel and Documentation control systems.
• More advanced manufacturing system knowledge.
