Job summary

USG is seeking a production-oriented operator for the 2nd shift in our Torrance facility. You will operate production equipment, troubleshoot to meet quality specs, and record data as required. You will also participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives and perform basic maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly.

The role requires the ability to adapt to shift schedules, including overtime and weekends, and to collaborate with a disciplined team in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Able to work in a manufacturing setting safely and follow all plant safety/housekeeping rules.
• Ability to learn to operate and troubleshoot plant equipment.
• Ability to interpret verbal and written work instructions.
• Ability to apply basic computer skills required for data entry and reporting.
• Proficiency at taking measurements to verify product specifications.
• Familiarity with common hand tools (hammer, wrench, screwdrivers, pliers).
• Effective teamwork and communication with co-workers.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
