Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a second-shift production operator at our Irving, TX plant. You will set up and operate resistance spot welders and power presses to weld, trim, punch, shape, notch, draw, or crimp metal, composite, or plastic stock, while following our Quality Policy.

You will inspect parts, log non-conformances, and participate in preventative and corrective actions, all while maintaining safety and cleanliness and coordinating with team leaders as needed.

Qualifications

• Familiar with the Quality Policy and its application.
• Able to explain how this position impacts customer satisfaction.
• Understand Quality Management System documents and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Understands and explains the Quality Policy to others.
• Identifies nonconformances and logs them as required.
• Participates in preventative and corrective actions and problem solving.
• Maintains clean and organized work area and shared spaces.
• Complies with safety, environmental, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Attends scheduled training and participates in continuous improvement activities.
• Works at various production stations as needed.
• Ensures materials are available and positioned correctly.
• Starts press and monitors operation for misalignment or malfunction.
• Cleans machines and maintains proper paperwork flow.
