Job summary

Bam Inc in West Knoxville is seeking a reliable, self-motivated needling operator for 2nd shift (3pm–11pm, Mon–Fri). Hands-on training will be completed on 1st shift (7am–3pm) for approx 30–60 days prior to moving to the off shift. Salary contingent on experience.

You may submit salary requirements with resume. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, prior production experience preferred, ability to stand for long periods, and basic computer skills including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Stacking material in production workflow.
• Pulling required material from inventory.

• Operate machines according to procedures.
• Log data into computer database and review SPC.
• Maintain paperwork for accuracy.
• Inspect finished product before release to production.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Must have a minmum of a high school diploma or GED
• Prior production experience and environment familiarity preferred (weather related temps, noise, etc)
• Must be comfortable standing for long periods of time
• Must have computer skills and be knowledgeable in Excel
• Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident

Primary Job Functions/Skills

• Stacking material (stationary/repetitive primary function of position)
• Pulling from inventory the required material for specific product being produced
• Machine set up/ changeover when required
• Assist with performingmaintenance and initial troubleshooting once trained and when applicable
• Operates machines according to procedures
• Logs data into computer database, reviews SPC
• Maintains applicable paperwork and checks for accuracy
• Inspects completed product before releasing to production
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 30 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Position is in a plant worksite setting that involves associated risks, machine noise, or discomforts that require safety precautions. Must utilize appropriate provided safety equipment for environment when necessary (Safety Boots, hearing or eye protection, etc.).
