Luttrell Staffing Group in Greeneville, TN is hiring a Manufacturing Machine Operator to set up and run production equipment in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position paying $16 per hour with weekly pay and insurance options.

You will gather materials, monitor quality, maintain records, follow safety procedures, and assist with timely start dates. A high school diploma and 6+ months of manufacturing experience are required; ability to lift 25–50 pounds is expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ months manufacturing or production experience.
• Basic math and tape measure reading skills.
• Able to follow English instructions and work under supervision.
• Experience with hand tools and equipment operation.
• Knowledge of safety procedures including PPE and LOTO.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production equipment according to procedures.
• Gather and maintain materials and supplies.
• Safely feed materials into machines and label finished products.
• Inspect equipment and report safety or maintenance concerns.
• Check materials and finished products for quality standards.
• Maintain production records and documentation.
• Keep the work area clean and safe.
• Follow safety, quality, and company procedures.

Job Duties for the Manufacturing Machine Operator Position:

• Set up and operate production equipment according to established procedures and supervisor instructions


• Gather and maintain materials and supplies needed for production


• Safely feed materials into machines and stack, label, cover, or band finished products as required


• Inspect equipment before each shift and report any safety, maintenance, or operating concerns


• Check materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met


• Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation


• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe at all times


• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures and participate in required meetings and programs


• Follow all policies and safety procedures in place


• Completes any other related tasks as needed

Qualifications, desired skills, and experience for Manufacturing Machine Operator Position:

• High school diploma or equivalent; previous data entry experience preferred


• At least 6 months of manufacturing, assembly, or related production experience required


• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure


• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English and work under direct supervision


• Experience using hand tools and operating or troubleshooting production equipment


• Knowledge of safe work practices, including lockout/tagout procedures and required PPE


• Ability to identify safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, and material quality issues


• Strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and ability to stack materials properly


• Willingness to work in an industrial environment with wood dust, noise, and varying temperatures


• Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds and work hours required by management


• Ability to pass a drug screen
