Job summary

Price Industries Inc. in Winder, Georgia seeks a 2nd shift Production Supervisor to lead the production department, manage schedule adherence, and drive improvements in quality, safety, and delivery performance.

The role requires 3–5 years in a supervisory capacity within high-volume, multi-product environments, preferably sheet metal/HVAC, and Lean Manufacturing experience. Proficiency in MS Office and Spanish language is a plus.

Qualifications

• College degree or high school with 5 years of supervision experience.
• 3–5 years of supervision role with a proven track record in a high volume, multi-product environment – Preferably in sheet metal and HVAC
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing
• Comfortable in a team oriented environment
• Proficient in MS Office
• Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferre

Responsibilities

• Improving the Efficiency and Utilization of the Production Department
• Quality of the products built and effective resolution of quality issues
• Identifying problem root cause and implementing corrective and preventive measures to ensure no repetition
• Utilize functional support departments to resolve quality issues
• Identify and resolve Safety concerns
• Ensuring work instructions, procedures and policies are being followed
• Motivating department members through involvement, communication and positive reinforcement
• Provide employees with feedback through formal and informal Performance Evaluations
• Monitor attendance and take disciplinary steps as required up to the termination
• Dealing with grievance and conflict in a clam, controlled and professional manner
• Manpower planning and effective staffing, which includes operators, lead-hands and master crafters
• Ensuring effective training and cross training
• Mentoring and developing lead-hands so they can manage the hour by hour manufacturing operation
• Driving continuous improvement within departments to achieve better quality, efficient productivity and delivery performance
• Driving force behind 5S
• Use Lean Manufacturing and other techniques
• Ensure daily shop clean up actions are performed effectively and required daily machine preventive maintenance actions are carried out as required
