Job summary

Pratt Industries seeks a Lead Supervisor to oversee daily production, train and mentor crews, and ensure quality products are made safely with minimal waste. You will supervise, coordinate maintenance, and drive continuous improvement in a busy plant environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of leadership experience. Expect responsibility for team performance, safety compliance, and meeting production goals in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Language Skills: read and interpret safety rules and procedures; write routine reports; speak effectively to groups.
• Mathematical Skills: read a tape measure; calculate percentages, volumes and rates; apply high school math concepts.
• Reasoning Ability: apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions and handle problems.
• Technical Skills: understand equipment design and operation; support cost-effective daily decisions.
• Quality Standards: comply with wage/hour, environmental, safety and OSHA/EEO requirements.

Responsibilities

• Train and cross-train employees on machinery and processes.
• Ensure tools and materials are available for crews to complete tasks.
• Oversee crews to ensure reliability, timeliness, and teamwork.
• Maintain morale and confidentiality; address crew questions and problems.
• Communicate performance and coordinate repairs with supervisors and maintenance.
• Lead weekly Production/Safety meetings and coordinate shift communications.
• Pursue career skills through seminars and courses; uphold all policies including safety.
• Additional duties may be assigned by management.
