Job summary

Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division seeks a Production Supervisor for the Highland, IL facility on 2nd shift. You will lead a work group, drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and serve as the first-line liaison between production staff and management.

Responsibilities include directing daily production activities, coordinating with planning and maintenance, enforcing safety, coaching employees, and supporting continuous improvement to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of leadership in manufacturing preferred.
• Bachelor's degree and three years supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP and Kronos preferred.
• Must live within 50 miles of Highland, IL.

Responsibilities

• Lead department in daily production activities to meet targets.
• Be the first line contact between production staff and management.
• Enforce safety principles; administer first aid and investigations as needed.
• Promote employee engagement, training, teamwork and recognition.
• Monitor control plans and quality; troubleshoot workmanship issues.
• Provide direction and motivation to production and maintenance staff.
• Schedule activities and coordinate safety and training.
• Counsel on behavior/performance; initiate disciplinary action per bargaining agreement.
• Support continuous improvement in safety, quality and productivity.
• Interpret specs, blueprints and orders; assign duties.
• Coordinate with planning to prioritize orders and manage material and staffing.
