Job summary

Tyson Foods’ Tecumseh Poultry facility is seeking a Leader I to oversee daily line operations and ensure safety, quality and efficiency. You will report to Production Supervisors and guide team members through SOPs while maintaining production goals.

Responsibilities include training, enforcing SOPs, communicating with supervisors and control room, and end-of-shift paperwork. The role requires staying focused under fast pace, ability to make quick decisions, and commitment to teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1-year experience in a meat processing facility preferred.
• Computer literacy preferred; experience with Word, Excel, Outlook beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Work to improve efficiencies within the lines.
• Lead stretching during the shift.
• Ensure area follows safety standards and report non-compliance.
• Assist in reporting safety incident details.
• Training, development and enforcement of all area SOPs.
• Ensure production and efficiency goals are met for shift.
• Monitor lines to ensure continuous flow of product.
• Communicate with supervisor on downtime and why.
• Communicate with Control Room on equipment issues.
• End of day paperwork and submission to Control Room.
• All other duties assigned by management.
