Job summary

Tyson Foods in Tecumseh, Nebraska is seeking a Leader I to report to Production Supervisors and oversee daily departmental functions. You will perform inspections, monitor line performance, and ensure safety, quality and efficiency in accordance with SOPs and company standards.

Key duties include leading line improvements, training and enforcing SOPs, coordinating with the control room on equipment issues, reporting downtime, completing end‑of‑shift paperwork, and supporting other production

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a meat processing facility preferred.
• Computer literacy preferred; MS Office experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead to improve efficiencies within the lines.
• Lead stretching during the shift.
• Ensure area follows safety standards and report non-compliance.
• Assist in reporting safety incident details.
• Training, development and enforcement of SOPs.
• Ensure production and efficiency goals are met for shift.
• Monitor lines to ensure continuous flow of product.
• Communicate with supervisor on downtime and issues.
• End of the day paperwork submitted to Control Room.
