Job summary

Wis-Pak is seeking a Production Lead for the 2nd shift in Watertown, WI to guide a production team, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency, and coordinate with other departments for smooth operations.

You will train staff, enforce policies, perform changeovers, and monitor performance while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Manufacturing or production experience (required).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with team members.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to read, write, and think critically.
  • Team-focused mindset with the ability to lead by example.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Commitment to safety, GMPs, and food safety standards.
  • Basic computer and mechanical skills are helpful.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
  • Applicants must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English at a level necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and supporting all personnel and production activities during your shift.
  • Ensuring safety, quality, quantity, and housekeeping standards are consistently met.
  • Training team members and helping ensure everyone follows company policies and procedures.
  • Performing and overseeing package and product changeovers.
  • Monitoring production performance and helping maintain low-cost, high-quality operations.
  • Developing a strong understanding of processes and equipment to support your team effectively.
  • Communicating clearly and regularly with employees, supervisors, and the next shift to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Enforcing safety standards and ensuring proper PPE is used at all times.
  • Following and reinforcing quality assurance guidelines and food safety requirements.
  • Making sure raw materials and promotional materials are used properly and efficiently.
  • Supporting other departments and stepping in where needed to keep operations moving.
  • Helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment through housekeeping, coding, and recycling efforts.
  • Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities.

About the Role

As a Production Lead, you'll oversee shift operations and lead a team of production employees to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals. You'll ensure proper training, enforce company policies, and maintain strong communication across departments to keep everything running smoothly.

What You'll Do:
