Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Packer/Handler for our Molding Department. You will visually inspect containers and lids, assemble products by adding gaskets and handles, and ensure packaging accuracy while maintaining throughput in a 3pm-11pm shift.

You must be able to read, write and communicate in English and work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include cleaning and organizing the work area, adhering to safety standards, and supporting leads and supervisors with quality issues and paperwork

Responsibilities

• Inspect product to ensure quality and set aside items not meeting standards.
• Assemble product by installing gaskets and handles as required while keeping pace with production cycles.
• Label and package products; assist with material handling and other tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; assist with general housekeeping and end-of-shift cleanup.

Set aside product that is below quality standards. Work closely with Leads and alert Mold Tech and Supervisor of any quality issues or reject conditions. Watch molds for irregularities or sticking. Timely response to quality issues is key to this position.Complete assembly of product by installing gaskets in lids and handles in containers as required while keeping up with the production machines cyclesFlame containers and lids when required.Stack and pack product per instructions that vary with different customers and ordersPrepare proper product identification and/or packaging labelsAssist with material handling and other tasks as neededWhen the machine experiences an interruption in production, the packer/handler will take this available time to clean up oil, sweep, mop, make boxes or other tasks that may be assigned by the team leader or supervisor.Accurately complete any required paperworkMiscellaneous duties as assignedThe above is intended to describe the general content of the requirements for the performance of this position.
