Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a 2nd Shift Process Technician to ensure maximum uptime of production machines by diagnosing quality issues and addressing variations from specifications. This role supports molding processes, materials, and operator interactions.

The successful candidate will have a High School diploma, prior molding machine processing experience, and the required lock out/tag out authorization. OES training and safety requirements apply.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Initiates the start of molding machines and ensures proper functionality to support on-time production targets.

• Communicates raw material adjustments to material handlers to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Conducts test runs of process or machine adjustments to ensure proper functionality and quality.

The Process Technician ensures maximum uptime of OES production machines by diagnosing and addressing quality issues and variations from customer specifications due to molding machines, processes, materials, or operator interactions. We do offer relocation assistance.

Job Responsibilities

• Initiates the start of molding machines and ensures proper functionality to support the on-time completion of production targets
• Troubleshoots molding machine malfunctions or bottlenecks that can be corrected by material changes or process adjustments
• Records the details of machine malfunctions and the appropriate adjustments as required
• Communicates and verifies necessary raw material adjustments to material handlers to improve production efficiency and accuracy
• Conducts test runs of process or machine adjustments to ensure proper machine functionality and alignment with quality standards
• Routinely changes machine inserts to customize product wording or labeling in accordance with customer specifications
• Notifies a Maintenance Technician of a machine electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic issue or problems that may require a fabricated solution
• Identifies parts or machines that need new parts or need to be replaced and places orders as necessary
• Assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies under the guidance of a technical Manager
• Performs routine analyses and calculations, and recommends changes in equipment, products or test methods
• Assists the on-shift supervisor with assigning operators to machines and provides direction to Machine Operator as to machine cycle time and operating multiple machines at a time
• Assists Material Handlers with troubleshooting material issues
• Other duties may be assigned as needed
  

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience with processing of molding machines necessary
• Lock out/tag out authorization (provided by OES)
• Designated Paulson online training as specified by supervision
• Proficient inuseofbasic hand tools, power tools, slide hammer (custom) and impact wrench
• Lifting requirements are generally up to 40 lbs.
