STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is seeking a 2nd Shift Pressure Test Operator to perform tests on manufactured pieces following PSI and time limits defined by customers. This role requires handling lifting tasks and adhering to safety protocols.

The position supports 2nd shift from Monday to Thursday and includes a $1.00 shift differential. Training on 1st shift is expected for the new hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing/test environments or related training.
• Willingness to train on 1st shift.

Responsibilities

• Performs visual and dimensional checks on materials, assemblies, tubes, components, and finished products.
• Inspects and tests components to validate conformance to blueprints and customer instructions.
• Determines appropriate fittings and connections to perform tests.
• Lifts, positions, connects, disconnects, and removes pieces from pressure test tanks.
• Performs testing based on specified PSI and time limits per customer requirements.

This position is responsible for testing manufactured pieces based on specific PSI and time limits as outlined by our customers to ensure quality standards. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and with reasonable accommodation when necessary.

2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday 3:15PM - 1:45AM / $1.00 Shift Differential / 2nd Shift must be able to train on 1st Shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs visual and dimensional checks on materials, assemblies, tube details, components and finished products.
• Inspect and test components, parts, tube details, and assemblies to validate conformance to blue prints and instructions by customer and to company operating
• Determines appropriate fittings (feeds and caps) to perform the test
• Lifts, positions, connects, disconnects, and removes work pieces from pressure test tank
• Performs testing based on specific PSI and time limits as outlined by our customers to ensure quality standards
• Utilize tank interlocks and all safety mechanisms
• Observe test, inspect for bubble formation, seepage, or water droplets
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations -High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
