Job summary

AUTOKINITON in Lebanon, TN is seeking a Team Leader for the 2nd shift in our press operations. This full-time hourly role oversees a pressing team, ensures safety, quality, and production targets, and drives efficiency on the shop floor.

You will guide and mentor operators, address equipment issues, and collaborate with maintenance and other departments to maintain steady output. A candidate with 5–7 years in manufacturing and prior leadership is preferred.

Qualifications

• Leadership and team management experience required.
• Experience with press operations and stamping processes preferred.
• Knowledge of quality control processes and safety standards.
• Experience with production scheduling and workflow management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of press operators during the 2nd shift, ensuring safety, quality, and schedules.
• Monitor presses and adjust for optimal performance and quality.
• Perform regular quality checks and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Identify bottlenecks, equipment issues, and resolve them promptly.
• Train and mentor team on procedures, safety, and quality.
• Coordinate with maintenance for preventive maintenance and issues.
• Maintain shift production records and reports for management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and safety.
• Ensure proper material handling and inventory control in the press area.
• Collaborate with other departments for smooth transitions.
• Participate in daily production meetings and communicate updates.
• Foster a positive, accountable, growth-oriented work environment.
