Job summary

Olsten Staffing is seeking a Tool & Die Maker for the 2nd shift in Lumberton, NC. You will analyze specifications, set up and operate machines, and assemble parts to fabricate dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinist hand tools.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, planning operations, inspecting dimensions, and using CNC/manual machines. Flexibility to work any shift is required; strong blueprint and measurement skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and precise specifications.
• Ability to troubleshoot tooling and assist with process improvements.
• Experience operating manual and CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses).

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints or specifications and visualize die/tool shapes.
• Compute assembly dimensions and plan operation sequence.
• Measure and mark stock with precision instruments.
• Set up and operate band saws, lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders.
• Inspect dies for quality and verify dimensions with calipers and micrometers.
• Repair or modify tools and dies using machine and hand tools.
• Design tools, jigs, fixtures, and templates as needed.
