Job summary

Jarp-Industries is seeking an Experienced Tool and Die Maker for 2nd shift. The role is full-time with a pay range of $26.00–$36.00 per hour plus a $1.50 per hour shift premium.

Schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 2:00pm to 12:00am, with 40 hours per week. The incumbent will read blueprints, develop tooling, and perform precision bench and machining operations to construct, alter, and repair tools, dies, and gauges, ensuring customer specifications are met.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in machine tool mechanics and 2+ years machining experience.
• Experience with welding and CNC machines, including programming and running.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Make tools from blueprints or orders to customer specs.
• Develop new tools and qualify tooling.
• Perform machining operations and adapt tooling for special cases.
• Communicate with departments to validate tooling and improve shop performance.
• Fit, assemble, adjust, and align workpieces to meet quality standards.
• Use gauges and micrometers to verify tolerances.
• Assist higher-classification tool makers on complex projects.
• Work on new customer samples or improve existing tools.
