Job summary

Aerotek in Columbus, OH seeks a Press Operator to operate a metal stamping press, interpret blueprints, and set up tooling for high-volume production. You will load materials, verify dimensions with calipers and tape measures, and pack finished parts under supervision.

The role requires 1+ year experience with stamping presses or CNC machines, reading blueprints, and proficiency with precision measuring tools. Work hours are first shift in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience operating stamping presses or CNC machines.
• 1+ year experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic math.
• Experience with punch press operations.
• Hands-on experience with sheet metal and fabrication processes.
• Proficient with calipers to measure dimensions.
• Strong ability to run high-volume, fast-paced production jobs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a metal stamping press to produce parts per work orders and blueprints.
• Interpret and follow work orders and engineering blueprints to ensure correct part specs.
• Set up the press for each job, selecting tooling and making adjustments.
• Load raw materials into the machine and monitor production for quality and efficiency.
• Pack finished parts accurately under supervisor guidance.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform basic math to confirm measurements and tolerances.
• Run high-volume, fast-paced jobs with attention to detail.
• Handle sheet metal safely during production and packing.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
