Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Hesston, KS is seeking a Powder Coating Associate for 2nd shift. You will operate electrostatic guns, monitor equipment, inspect parts for quality, and prepare surfaces for recoating, within a team environment.

The role requires adherence to safety standards and following standard work procedures, with opportunities for growth in a global manufacturing company.

Qualifications

• High School / GED diploma required to maintain the pre-treatment system only.
• Ability to comply with safety standards (full body Tivex suits, air purifying respirator).
• Technical ability to elevate issues when identified.
• Able to follow standard work as trained by a supervisor or OpEx lead.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual electrostatic guns to apply powder to parts (approx. 35%).
• Operate, monitor and maintain equipment (automatic guns, reclaim system, ovens, conveyors, pre-treatment).
• Inspect parts for quality and apply liquid touch up as necessary.
• Apply/remove plugs and blow off water from pre-treatment system.
• Prepare parts for powder recoat by sanding surfaces.
