Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Hesston, KS is seeking a Powder Coating Associate for the 2nd shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM). The role involves operating powder coating equipment, inspecting parts for quality, and maintaining the paint line, conveyors, and ovens.

You will wear safety gear and follow standard work procedures in a high-output production environment. The position offers a starting wage of $19.82/hour with a $2 shift differential totaling $21.82/hour, plus a comprehensive benefits plan

Qualifications

• High School / GED preferred (required to maintain pre-treatment system)
• Ability to comply with safety standards (full body Tivex suits, respirator)
• Technical ability to elevate issues when identified
• Able to follow standard work as trained by supervisor or OpEx lead

Responsibilities

• Operate manual electrostatic guns to apply powder to parts.
• Monitor and maintain equipment (automatic guns, powder pick up, reclaim system, conveyors, ovens).
• Inspect parts for quality and apply liquid touch ups if needed.
• Prepare parts for powder recoat by sanding surfaces.
• Apply/remove plugs/caps to protect unpainted areas and blow off water from pre-treatment system
