Job summary

Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm) in OLATHE, KS. This role focuses on high-speed manufacturing equipment, preventive maintenance, lubrication, and basic mechanical troubleshooting to improve reliability.

You will document PM activities in SAP, follow 5S and GMP standards, and collaborate with maintenance staff to identify issues before failures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical coursework or certification in industrial maintenance preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or facilities environment, or equivalent hands-on mechanical experience.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance tasks such as inspections, lubrication, and basic adjustments.
• Ability to follow standard work instructions, PM schedules, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks per schedules and standard work.
• Complete lubrication activities (bearings, chains, gearboxes, and related components).
• Inspect equipment for wear, leaks, vibration, or abnormal conditions and elevate findings.
• Perform basic mechanical adjustments and limited component replacements.
• Support preventive maintenance of building facilities and related equipment.
• Document PM activities in SAP and communicate inspection results clearly.
• Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations; perform predictive maintenance.
• Follow safety, quality, and environmental policies; keep work areas clean per 5S and GMP.
