Job summary
Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for an Electronic Technician A / PLC Technician on 2nd shift at our Fogelsville, PA manufacturing plant. You will ensure electronic and control systems are installed, maintained and operating to support production for internal and external customers.
Key duties include troubleshooting PLCs, wiring, sensors and drives, and reading electrical schematics. Strong PLC experience and electrical knowledge are required; overtime and certification goals apply.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; 4+ years in electronics in an industrial setting.
- Two to three years of specialty or technical PLC schooling.
- Experience servicing PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Advise Maintenance Manager on electrical/mechanical problems and solutions.
- Build, maintain and repair production electronic systems.
- Retrofit machine control systems and read/modify electrical schematics.
- Install and repair motor controllers for AC/DC drives and systems.
- Troubleshoot problems quickly and implement viable solutions.
