Job summary

Noveon Magnetics is seeking a Plating Operator for the 2nd shift in San Marcos, Texas. This role supports electroplating and corrosion-resistance processes on pilot and production lines, ensuring proper coating application on magnet products.

You will work closely with engineers and technicians, assist in daily operations, and perform data collection and housekeeping tasks. Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of experience in pretreatment and wet plating processes, with basic PPE handling,

Qualifications

• 0–2 years’ experience in pretreatment and wet processes for coating/plating.
• Willingness to learn electroplating of Zn, phosphate, Ni/Cu and epoxy.
• Comfort with measurement devices (pH meters, thermometers) and data recording.
• Able to follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist plating engineer in daily operations and tests to ensure high quality coatings on magnet parts.
• Record data daily and report maintenance issues with clear work orders.
• Perform visual inspections of coatings and coordinate QC checks on thickness and quality.
• Maintain plating bath balance and monitor pH and conductivity readings daily.
• Keep work areas clean and follow 5S practices; manage storage of materials and data.
