Job summary

Pratt Industries in West Carrollton, Ohio seeks a Plastics Extrusion Machine Operator responsible for safely operating and maintaining PVC/PP extrusion lines. You will be involved in setup, resin loading, die changes, and ongoing process improvements to meet customer demand.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to work overtime as needed to support 24x7 production. Prior packaging industry exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior packaging industry experience preferred.
• 1 year experience on cast-film extrusion machines.
• Experience with Vorne production software.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion machinery safely and efficiently to meet production demand.
• Set up extrusion lines and load resins and additives as required.
• Monitor melt temperatures, pressures, bubble height, and cooling systems.
• Perform roll changes and routine maintenance; report machine issues promptly.
• Maintain clean work area and comply with safety and GMP rules.
• Assist and train other operators; complete production data and quality reports.
• Adhere to production schedules and suggest improvements to reduce downtime.
