Job summary

Pretium Packaging is seeking multiple skilled Machine Operators for the 2nd shift in Troy, Alabama. You will set up and operate plastic molding machines, monitor production, and perform routine maintenance to ensure quality products.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and prefers prior experience with plastic molding. Strong attention to detail, reading drawings, and problem-solving are essential. This role offers growth opportunities in a collaborative, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating plastic molding machines preferred.
• Understanding of plastic manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Mechanical training and technical training on packaging, plastics and printing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate plastic molding machines according to established procedures.
• Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as necessary.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Inspect finished products for quality and make adjustments as necessary.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during production.
• Maintain inventory of raw materials and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
• Follow established safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
