Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. in New York is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain facility and production equipment, ensuring safety, reliability and quality across the Purina Animal Nutrition operations.

This role installs, maintains and repairs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems to support continuous production. You will work Monday-Friday 2nd shift 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with overtime as needed; strong teamwork, problem solving and adherence to procedures are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 1 year of industrial or building facility maintenance experience.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and product manuals.
• Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot.
• Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful.

Responsibilities

• Complies with all safety processes and insists on safety practices of self and others
• Shows up on time, completes tasks by deadlines, and adapts to changes quickly
• Monitors performance of plant machinery and equipment for proper operating performance; performs regular and preventive maintenance, repairs, diagnoses, tests, troubleshoots, and inspections on all machinery and equipment; documents work accordingly
• Ensures all standard operating procedures are followed
• Able to multi-task and keep up with demands in a fast-paced environment
• Other duties as assigned
