Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician on the 1st shift in Indiana. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing facility and production machinery to ensure high-quality outputs in our Purina Animal Nutrition business units.

You’ll work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. Ideal candidates have 1+ year of industrial facility maintenance, basic computer skills, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 1 year of industrial or building facility maintenance experience.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and product manuals.
• Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot.
• Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful.
• Preferred: 1 to 3+ years’ experience with electrical systems, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyors, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and pumps.
• LOTO experience
• Forklift experience

Responsibilities

• Complies with all safety processes and insists on safety practices of self and others
• Shows up on time, completes tasks by deadlines, and adapts to changes quickly
• Monitors performance of plant machinery and equipment for proper operating performance; performs regular and preventive maintenance, repairs, diagnoses, tests, troubleshoots, and inspections on all machinery and equipment; documents work accordingly
• Ensures all standard operating procedures are followed
• Able to multi-task and keep up with demands in a fast-paced environment
• Other duties as assigned
