Summa Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician at the Barberton campus to support medication order fulfillment, IV preparation, and inventory management. The role emphasizes accurate recordkeeping, aseptic technique, and proper charging for dispensed items.

Candidates must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification within one year from hire, be licensed by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, and operate under state regulations until fully licensed.

Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification within 1 year from date of hire.
• Licensed as a registered pharmacy technician or pharmacy technician trainee by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy at the time of hire
• Licensed as a certified pharmacy technician by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy once National Pharmacy Certification is obtained.
• Employee may not start working independently until issuance of license.

Responsabilités

• Performs tasks related to filling medication orders and maintaining records.
• Prepares intravenous solutions using aseptic techniques and supplies controlled substances.
• Maintains inventory and dispenses medications to patient care areas; charges for items supplied.
