Job summary

Specialty Rx, Inc. in Orlando, FL is seeking a licensed pharmacist for a full-time 2nd shift role. The position involves evaluating orders, ensuring proper dispensing, and collaborating with the care team, with on-call duties as needed.

The successful candidate will have a Florida license, experience in long-term care or hospital/retail environments, and strong analytical and communication skills. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available after six months on the 2nd shift, with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Florida.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.
• Hospital and Retail pharmacy or other medical fields experience.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Computer skills; ECM software knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and administration.
• Ensure medicines are correctly dispensed, supplied, and labeled.
• Recommend therapy changes to physicians and facility staff when necessary.
• Maintain customers' database with medical history and clinical data.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare team members.
