Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. seeks a licensed Florida Pharmacist for a full-time 2nd shift role with rotating weekends. The position includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus after six months and responsibilities spanning medication order evaluation, labeling, and interprofessional communication.

Ideal candidates will have LTC experience and a background in hospital or retail pharmacy, with strong analytical and communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Florida.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• Hospital and retail pharmacy experience beneficial.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and administration.
• Ensure medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Recommend therapy changes to physicians and facilities staff when needed.
• Maintain customers’ medical history, clinical data, and lab results.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Communicate with nursing staff and physicians about medication-related queries.
• Supervise preparation of medicines and manage controlled drugs inventory.
• Maintain proper security conditions for medications and perform on-call duties.
