Job summary

CHEP is hiring a Repair Operator to join our 2nd shift, Monday-Friday, 4pm-12am, in Scarborough, ME. You will use a pneumatic nail gun and a reciprocating saw to repair pallets, replacing boards and ensuring a safe, efficient workflow.

We require physical strength, good hand-eye coordination, and endurance, with 2+ years in an industrial setting preferred. Pay starts at $22.30/hour with a $1 shift differential, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

• Must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance.
• Able to stand for long periods and repeatedly lift pallets weighing 60–75 lbs.
• 2+ years in an industrial, fast-moving setting with machinery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a pneumatic nail gun and a reciprocating saw to repair pallets.
• Place pallets on repair tables, remove defective boards, replace and nail new boards.
• Troubleshoot jams and perform basic maintenance on the saw while following safety procedures.
