Job summary

Peet’s Coffee Inc. is seeking a Packaging Technician on 2nd shift to operate and monitor packaging equipment, set up machines, and perform quality checks in a fast-paced production environment.

You will collaborate with maintenance and quality teams, follow GMPs and safety standards, and maintain a clean, organized workstation while meeting production goals and food safety requirements.

Hourly pay ranges from $20 to $22, with benefits including vacation, health coverage, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• 1 year of production experience as a machine technician or machine operator
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to work overtime, including Saturdays
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability
• Ability to work well in a team and support others

Responsibilities

• Operate grinding and/or packaging equipment to process coffee according to the daily production schedule
• Follow all safety, food safety, and quality standards, including GMPs and SOPs
• Perform quality checks and maintain required production and quality records
• Monitor equipment performance and report safety, quality or production issues to leadership
• Support productivity and maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation
• Assist training and guidance of team members and temporary workers as needed

In this role, you’ll set up machines, make routine adjustments, perform quality checks, and work closely with production, maintenance, and quality partners to keep operations running smoothly.
