Job summary

Jessup Manufacturing Company in McHenry, IL is seeking a Packaging Associate for the 2nd shift (3:30 PM - 12:00 AM). This full-time role packages products according to production orders, production schedules, and quality standards.

The position requires reading orders, labeling with accurate part/lot numbers, data recording, and lifting up to 50 lbs. You will work closely with Team Leaders and the Production Manager to maintain quality and efficiency while upholding safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and understand production orders and instructions.
• Ability to neatly and accurately record data and measurements.
• Ability to perform basic math and use measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Follows instructions from Team Leaders or Production Manager and asks questions when uncertain.
• Reviews production orders and any special instructions; seeks clarification if required.
• Communicates material requirements to meet production or packaging demands.
• Verifies product quality meets customer and Jessup standards; detects defects and reports them.
• Calculates material usage and records on work orders clearly and accurately.
• Labels finished products with correct part numbers, work order numbers, and lot information.
• Maintains safe, clean, and orderly work area; follows safety practices and reports unsafe conditions.
• Exhibits Jessup Success Factors and performs other duties as assigned.
