Job summary

Herr Foods Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Packaging Machine Maintenance Technician for the Nottingham, PA location. The role focuses on maintaining packaging equipment and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficient operations.

The position is full-time with a 3pm–1am schedule, 3pm-1am on weekdays, with potential overtime. Eligible for a retention bonus and comprehensive benefits, including on-site health resources and 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• One to three months of related mechanical experience and/or training.
• Able to work with latex gloves, airborne seasoning, cardboard dust, cleaning solutions, and hot water.
• Able to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
• Balance on slippery surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Resolve packaging equipment issues on scales, baggers and case packers.
• Plan and schedule maintenance activities for packaging equipment.
• Lead packaging equipment overhauls from planning to execution.
• Document repairs and maintenance using ERP systems.
• Improve preventative maintenance routines and reliability.
