Job summary

AMETEK Inc. in Indiana is seeking a detail-oriented pack-and-ship associate to support both internal and external customers. You will pack according to customer specifications, assemble required packing materials, and prepare accurate shipping documentation to ensure safe transport.

The role requires strong accuracy, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Forklift operation and occasional overtime/weekends may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior packaging/shipping experience preferred.
• Computer experience and Visual Manufacturing software knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pack product per customer requirements.
• Gather and prepare all packaging materials needed to ship the product.
• Follow all packaging instructions for labels, inserts, and tags.
• Verify that all product is packaged so there is no damage during transport.
• Complete required shipping documentation including shippers, certifications, labels, inserts, and lot numbers.
• Maintain finished goods inventory transactions (receipts and issues).
• Package components and finished goods for inventory.
• Administer inventory for shop suppliers, labels, and materials.
• Coordinate pickups with outside carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, DBP).
• Verify documentation is correct and up to date.
• Ensure procedures and safety policies are followed; reduce risk and injuries.
• Comply with ISO policies and maintain workspace cleanliness.
