Job summary

Steel Technologies LLC is seeking a 2nd shift Packager to set up and operate banding equipment for proper packaging and shipment preparation. You will work with finished goods and learn about customers and end products.

Responsibilities include prepping skids, using banding line equipment, packaging to specs, and transporting materials with a forklift or crane while maintaining safety and production standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to use tape measure, micrometers, and calipers.
• Pass forklift certification and/or crane training.
• Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods and lift up to 75 lb.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate banding line equipment.
• Prepare skids to customer specifications.
• Package material to meet customer specs and instructions.
• Identify and segregate items properly.
• Operate forklift and/or overhead crane to move materials.
• Maintain clean packaging area and uphold safety rules.
• Meet production standards and assist with loading/unloading.
