Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to obtain license to use MHE within 30 days of selection.
• May require travel or security clearance; training for HAZMAT certification may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, examines, classifies, accepts, rejects, and disposes of material as per DLA regulations.
• Ensures material is properly preserved/packaged/marked/labeled according to Military Standards before releasing for storage or shipping.
• Selects proper size container and cushioning to protect against damage.
• Conducts basic inspection/examination procedures for material.
• Reads specifications and photographs as required in DLA contract.
• May operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to load material on/off skids, pallets, stands and vehicles.
• Receives data and inputs data to DSS and other systems; prepares basic reports.
• Counts, weights, records data, and applies tags/labels.
• Performs other position-related duties as assigned.
