Job summary

Shopko's De Pere, WI facility is seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair Optical Lab equipment and handle preventive maintenance across lab and facility systems. The role offers on-site work with a fixed schedule, training, 401k with match and paid time off.

You'll set up new lab equipment, document actions, and coordinate with vendors to ensure parts availability while maintaining a safe work environment in a fast-paced production setting.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Preferably 2 years of equipment maintenance experience.
• Proven ability to repair sophisticated equipment.
• Optical experience a plus, but not required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills.
• Analytical and decision-making skills.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Optical Lab equipment.
• Complete weekly preventive maintenance on machines.
• Set up new lab equipment.
• Perform Optical Lab facility and grounds maintenance.
• Document repair and maintenance actions.
• Communicate with vendors to follow up on parts orders and diagnosis.
