Job summary

Silgan Dispensing Systems is seeking a motivated Molding Floor Person to join the team on 2nd shift. The role focuses on housekeeping within the Molding Department, floor cleanliness, waste disposal, and material movement including scanning of molded components and scrap.

The position requires compliance with safety policies, the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and the daily execution of production floor tasks according to the schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Math skills: add, subtract, multiply and divide; interpret rates and graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense and follow written or oral instructions.
• Physical ability to stand, lift up to 100 pounds, and work in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and blow out assigned areas and keep floors clean.
• Oil mop production floor daily and report large leaks to supervisor.
• Clean molding machines, conveyors and auxiliary equipment as assigned.
• Scan molded production to warehouse within the assigned area.
• Maintain area with boxes/totes and ensure proper labeling.
• Accurately complete documentation and ensure scanning accuracy.
• Follow daily molding schedule regarding restarts, shut downs and change overs.
• Relieve associates in assigned area for breaks.
