Job summary

Westfall Technik Inc. is hiring a Set-Up Technician for 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) in Connecticut.

You will install and startup injection molds, perform changeovers, and ensure proper hookups for water, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems while supporting production throughput. The role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to document setup, mold performance, and materials using ERP and quality tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in molding/setup technician role in manufacturing.
• Ability to install and operate all molding machines and equipment.
• Must lift up to 100 lbs infrequently and stand for long periods.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate mold installations, startups, and changeovers.
• Ensure correct connections for water, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatics.
• Operate machines to run samples or production and document results.
• Maintain shift turnover and document mold performance and materials.
• Support mold testing, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
• Keep work area clean and organized; assist in material handling.
• Contribute to cross-functional efforts and safety/compliance.
