Kinetic Engine Systems in Chester, CT is seeking a 2nd Shift Mill Machinist to operate and set up 4- and 5-axis machines in an aerospace-focused shop. This full-time role requires precise setup and the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment.

The position offers a 15% shift differential, a four-day work week (Monday-Thursday, 10 hours per day), with start time 4:00 PM and end time 2:30 AM. Work is on-site with an independent work style.

Qualifications

• Experience in Aerospace industry.
• Ability to do basic set ups on 4 and 5 Axis Machines.
• Ability to follow set up instructions including setting up fixtures, vices, and rotaries.
• Ability to Troubleshoot
• Ability to work complex machines.
• Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Skilled in performing precision work on parts that present complex configurations and close tolerance between interrelated surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintains specifications by trouble shooting processes; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools.
• Follows and does setup instructions and applies knowledge of procedures to acquire first piece inspections.
• Does basic troubleshooting of machines.
• Perform precision work on parts with complex configurations and close tolerance between interrelated surfaces.

Full Time Direct Chester, CT, US

Salary Range: $30.25 To $35.00 Hourly
