Job summary

APX in Greencastle, Indiana is seeking a dependable MIG Welder to support our fabrication shop operations. You will weld and assemble metal components according to specifications and production needs, prioritizing safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of MIG welding experience.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, calipers, tape measures, and angle gauges.
• Capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Fast-paced, evolving manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions to execute welding tasks accurately.
• Perform MIG welding, primarily on mild steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel sheet metal components.
• Utilize grinders to smooth welds and remove excess material or spatter, ensuring precision and quality.
